Responsible to lead, organize and evaluate delivery of care in the medical facility to assure continuity, compliance and accountability of care/practice. Assists in planning, designing, integrating, implementing, modifying and administering PI activities, such as organization accreditation, continuous performance improvement, risk management, utilization management, VA surgical quality improvement program (VASQIP), etc. These activities are used to evaluate and improve the process or functions which may affect the facilities overall performance. Is a key team member involved in the medical facilities overall accreditation performance group. The incumbent must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with multiple disciplines and services. Will facilitate group problem solving, along with previous experience leading and/or facilitating performance improvement projects, teams, and groups. Computer literacy and skill in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Willing to learn other analytic programs as needed. Must have excellent organizational, communication, writing, and time management skills. Demonstrate ability in data tracking, management, analysis, and feedback of results Ability to make performance management and continuous readiness decisions. Agility to accurately implement policies, regulations, standards of care and standards of practice. Basic Requirements:

Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant:
The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Applicant's education and length of nursing practice (experience) will be considered by a Nurse Professional Standards Board in determining the grade and salary of the applicant selected. The recommended salary may be at any point in the range listed for this vacancy. Experience as a RN will be evaluated to determine if the experience is of an acceptable level of quality with regard to the following four dimensions of nursing:

The following criteria must be met in determining the grade assignment of candidates, and if appropriate, the level within a grade:
Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse I Level III - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a BSN with approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or related field with a BSN and no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience. In addition to the requirements above, the Nurse I demonstrates individual growth and development in clinical practice to increasing levels of self direction; Nurse II demonstrates unit level contributions and leadership; Nurse III demonstrates sustained leadership resulting in program contributions and outcomes at the unit level and beyond. All applicants must be physically able to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position. A pre-placement physical examination shall be completed prior to appointment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
